THE SOFT POWER OF FOOTBALL – DIPLOMACY FOR CHARITABLE ENDS

Football has proven not only to be the most widely followed sport globally but also increasingly a platform shown to consistently garnish significant goodwill by transcending differences in race, socio economic & educational status, politics, nationality and religious beliefs amongst players & supporters alike.

This positioning not only makes Football unique in its scale but also a perfect common denominator for outreach & diplomacy.

Football for Peace (FfP) footballforpeace.org was founded to positively leverage the power of football to support a plethora of worthy and reputable charitable endeavours against the backdrop of a broad spectrum (and mounting) social and environmental issues globally.

We aim to help build inclusive, sustainable and resilient lives for current and future generations. We contribute by creating regional as well as global partnerships that understand the pressing need for innovation and collective action to overcome the challenges impacting the poor and disadvantaged with our programs and events.

Our strategic planning endeavours to deliver on the power & goodwill of Football to promote and deliver pathways and a variety of education and training programs that contribute to building self determination and poverty alleviation at both local and global levels. This is particularly relevant today as the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic continues to negatively impact the lives, livelihoods, education & advancement of billions of people around the world.
